The Canada Project
2005, Documentary, 60 min, English & Serbian language
The film of a young (16) film director from Subotica, Boris Malagurski, "The Canada Project" was shown at the "Abazija" theatre as a part of the International Film Festival in Palic, Serbia. This marvelous documentary about Boris' immigration to Canada is a funny, and at moments a sad story about the perspectives and options that young people have in modern day Serbia. With cleverly composed documentary elements, acted out interpretations by the author and an outstanding soundtrack, this film gives us a peek into Boris' world and life. The topics that he chose are also significant from a political, educational and cultural aspect. "The Canada Project" is one of the best moments of the "Young Authors of Europe" program shown as a part of the International Film Festival in Palic for the first time in 2005.
